 Air Speeders: Types 848/852
Henninger air speeders can be viewed as the forerunners to today’s motorised spindles. Nowadays they are used in conjunction with high speed grinding spindles and motor spindles.

These spindles are compressed air-driven and reach speeds of up to 90 000 rpm. They are generally used for engraving and fine milling during profile, internal and co-ordinate grinding. The disadvantage of these spindles is a significant performance drop at reduced speeds.
